It has been an exhausting day, well who am I kidding 16 months really. I have a little boy who does not sleep, we are lucky if he drops off for an hour at a time. With an almost three year old as well and three teenagers in the mix, life is hectic.
Today our little angel found out how to climb out of his cot, consequently he was found on the floor. Luckily no injuries to report.
So here was the dilemma, what to do no? There were suggestions to put him in a room by himself with a stair gate and a low bed. Unfortunately we have no spare room for him.
Anyway we went to Mothercare and explained our dilemma. I normally don't go there as often as they are a little out of out price range. But all I can say is the customer service was fantastic. We had an idea to put him in a baby sleeping bag and she could not be more helpful.
Next we went to Holland and Barratt and repeated our story of the boy who won't sleep and yet again more amazing customer service. The advice and support we received was fantastic, well above and beyond customer service I have come across before.
These two companies have definitely earned loyal customers in us today.
Right onto New Year, have I made any resolution? I think just mainly to keep on trying to be true to myself.
I hope that anyone that reads it has an enjoyable night and may their new year be bright.
Happy new year :)
Newyear is a time of celebration and remembering the things we did last year, loved ones one together.... What a load bull crap :) it's a time for drink fun and dressing up, time and seeing if you can cout backwards after 20 beers and half a bottle of vodka as your looking for the shoes you took off so you could run naked over the neighbors gardens... I bet most know what I mean... Forget the past strip of the old you and run naked... Just run faster if you see blue flashing lights :) hope everyone has a fantastic Newyear... I will be sitting in again this year with two little ones watching stupid movies so go out and have a good one for me :) xxx
Rather hectic day yesterday but it was great to see the kids faces. Our house is rather compact as it is but now we are struggling at the seams. If smiles created spaces, we would live in a mansion :)
So I suppose the next big event is the new year. I have reflected on this past year and wish there are some things that can be resolved before the clock strikes midnight. I know that things can be sorted at any time but in certain respects a clean slate is needed.
We all have dreams and aspirations maybe now is the time to face them head on and try and achieve my goals.
As a side note christmas dinner was fantastic, my partner surpassed herself in her culinary skills.
Well the two little boys are in bed, so time to get wrapping and making sure that Santa can get in to leave their presents.
Really can't wait to see their faces in the morning :)
Then later on in the day the older two will be here so it will be very loud. Then off North on Boxing Day to see my daughter.
I will try and post some pictures. Here is hoping you all have a peaceful and joyful day.
